Support Your Local Library!

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker recently released his recommendations for the Fiscal Year 17 budget. He has recommended level funding for state aid to public libraries for FY17. Level funding means that last year’s cuts of $124,000 to public libraries will remain in place for the next fiscal year.
The good news is: you can help! The Engage website, linked below, is a great way to contact our state’s legislators to show support for public libraries! Just follow the instructions our library network, C/W MARS, has provided for you. It’s very easy and will help our legislators know that public libraries are valuable community resources!
1. Click on the link above
2. From the Engage home page click on the Take Action button
3. You now see a form. Enter your name and contact info in the form. Your address is important because it ensures that your legislator receives your message.
4. Click the Submit button
5. You now see the pre-populated message that will go to your legislator. You can change the subject and/or the message if you choose to. Otherwise, from this screen simply click Submit and your message is sent to your legislators, the Governor and the Lt. Governor.
Let’s all start engaging our legislators today!

How are we doing?

Please take a few moments to fill out our Library Satisfaction Questionnaire.
We want to hear from you! How well are we meeting your needs? What more can be be doing to help out? Your answers will help the Staff, Trustees, and Friends of the Library improve the facilities, programming, services, and materials we offer.
