Beginning Wednesday, June 17th, the Library will offer curbside pick-up of items.
Requests for items may be made through the CWMARS catalog (see login above) or by calling the Library beginning Monday, June 15th. Up to ten items may be requested at a time. (Since the delivery service for interlibrary loan is not available at this time, requests may only be made for items in our Library. We will update you as the delivery service returns.) Patrons will be called with instructions when items are ready for pick-up. Items that had been on hold for patrons before we closed in March are still available, and we will be calling beginning Monday, June 15th, to arrange pick-up of those items.

Faxing, copying, scanning, and some printing services will be available during our regular operating hours.  Staff will meet patrons at the door (mask required) to exchange paperwork for these services as the Library is not yet open to the public.

Tax forms will be available in the ramp entryway.  Please wear a mask when entering.

We will continue to update the status of Library services on our website and through Facebook.  Decisions about each phase of reopening are made with guidance from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, Massachusetts Library Systems, Central & Western Mass  Resource Sharing (CWMARS), and of course, our local Health Department and Library Trustees.   The behind-the-scenes requirements for meeting each phase are complex and set forth for the safety of our staff and patrons.  We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to provide services.  We have greatly missed being able to serve you, and are eager to make wise decisions in restoring services as deemed safe for all.

A wealth of ebooks and audiobooks is available through the Libby app  or via the CWMARS link to OverDrive at cwmars.overdrive.com.  To use Libby ... Install the Libby app from your device's app store. In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a valid library card. If you do not have a library card you may sign up on OverDrive or in the Libby app with your cell phone number assuming the billing address is within the CWMARS service area.  Browse your library's collection and borrow a title. If there is a title you are interested in which has a long wait, e-mail us at merriamgilbert@gmail.com, and we can possibly order the title.  Any titles our library owns are made available to our library patrons first before they may be lended to patrons of other libraries, so we can possibly speed up  your wait time for particular titles if we order them.  Just let us know!
